July 16, 2023 @ 9:15 am – 9:45 am BST
Every Sunday morning at 9:15am, a small number of us meet for a simple prayer meeting, lasting around 30 mins and using the Northumbrian Prayer liturgy and readings for that day. The prayer time follows a simple pattern each time:-
It begins with some short pre-prepared, opening prayers, followed by three very short scripture readings for the day, and the meditation for that day. Following this we have a time of open prayer, and then conclude with some remaining written prayers. We take it in turns to lead the morning.
When lockdown allows, those of us who can, linger afterwards for a cup of coffee and a chat.
